Polyken 900-12
Designed as a utility tape that can be used for a variety of application, Polyken 900-12 is a reliable product for the oil and gas industry. Polyken 900-12 is made with an 8-mil thick polyethylene backing and a 4-mil thick butyl rubber adhesive which gives the tape a high level of flexibility allowing it to conform to many applications. Being a utility tape, the 900-12 can either be hand applied for small coating repairs or machine applied when longer and larger applications allow. When selecting the tape, 900-12 is available in 1”, 2”, 4” and 6” widths and available in 100 ft. long rolls.

Starting from one end of the exposed area, work the tape around the pipe, allowing a 50% overlap of the tape along the way to provide you with a coating layer and mechanical protection layer.
When ordering 900-12, please keep in mind the number of rolls required to complete the task. Polyken tapes are sold in case quantities only and each case of 900-12 contains 4 squares of tape (one square = 100 square feet). Polyken 1027 primer is required to apply the tape, it is available in 16 oz. spray cans or 1 gallon pails.
